Your gift can help end homelessness for women and their children.
Here at Women’s Empowerment, we are doing what the rest of the country says is impossible: we are ending homelessness for women and children–for good. Your donation is a smart investment in the future, an open door of opportunity and a path to self-sufficiency.
When you give to Women’s Empowerment, you are showing support for a long-term solution to ending homelessness. You are providing the support homeless women need to achieve their dreams, earn success and provide for their children. Thank you!

Donate with Confidence
Women’s Empowerment is a financially stable organization. We hold at least 3 months of operating funds in reserve, and our overhead is low: 16.7%. That means for every dollar you donate to Women’s Empowerment, less than 17 cents covers administrative and fundraising costs. (The national average is 25 cents.)
Women’s Empowerment is a certified United Way Partner Agency, and in 2009 was voted Nonprofit of the Year by the Nonprofit Resource Center. Because of our unique ability to help homeless women break the cycle of poverty, Women’s Empowerment was featured on The TODAY Show in 2015 as a national model to help end family homelessness. In 2016, we were featured on CNN’s Impact Your World. In 2014, Women’s Empowerment was named Organization of the Year in the Women’s Appreciation Awards hosted by Congresswoman Doris Matsui, former Assemblymember Roger Dickinson, and former Senate President pro tem and current Mayor of Sacramento Darrell Steinberg. In 2017, Assemblymember Kevin McCarty selected Women’s Empowerment as a California Nonprofit of the Year.
We neither solicit, nor receive, government funding. You won’t find any frills here: our computers, office furniture, and even a portion of our rent are donated. Our priority is the homeless women and children we serve and our spending reflects our commitment.
