Women’s Empowerment is once again joining over 700 Sacramento-area nonprofits in Big Day of Giving as we work to raise unrestricted funds critical to supporting programs and services for women and children experiencing homelessness. Early BDOG giving is open! Visit our Big Day of Giving page to see how you can help us continue to make an impact.

Chantay, a former WE graduate from Session 41, has continued to volunteer and give back to Women’s Empowerment, here’s why:

“This program has changed my life. I turned into a donor and a volunteer because I believe in what Women’s Empowerment is doing for young women that need a restart. Women’s Empowerment runs 100% on donations. Everyone who teaches the classes, works in the clothing closet, and helps our women prepare for the world are volunteers. It’s a community that comes together to help these women get back on their feet. I started volunteering because it made me feel good, but I noticed after a while volunteering actually makes the women feel good, it makes them feel like they’re worth it. It makes them feel good that people donate their time, volunteer, donate their gently used clothing, and money to help them get back out there and create a better life. Big Day of Giving is a great way for us to get some of our revenue and reach our goals. With Covid-19, we’ve lost a lot of our revenue streams. We also have a match, so you can donate and double your donations, which makes a big impact. It’s a great opportunity for you to come out and whatever you give will be doubled.”
