December News & Updates From WE

Holiday Craft Party was a Blast!

Last Saturday was especially wonderful because WE graduates and their families came together at our annual Holiday Craft Party.

This bright day of community was complete with crafts, food, music, family photos, and hundreds of holiday bags full of gifts and winter essentials for the women and children.

Each person who attended the event was able to create gifts to give, and will have a special gift of their own this holiday season! We want to say a huge thank you to each individual, business, and community group that made this event possible by volunteering time, donating supplies and gifts, and giving with their hearts. You make a difference.

Congrats, Session 89!

The women of Session 89 may have just graduated from our nine-week program on Dec. 9th, but they are already reaching their goals! Each graduate of this session has either secured a job, paid training program, or enrolled in school. Their hard work, perseverance, and willingness to uplift one another is truly inspiring. We look forward to walking alongside them as they build their futures!

Get a Job Kit Completed!

Five Women just completed our Get A Job Kit Paid Job Training Program! At their close, the women had a chance to speak to the students of Session 89. Dyanna kept it “short and sweet,” encouraging Session 89 to continue persisting and continue using the tools they’ve been given. “What we have here is a true blessing.” In total, these 5 women assembled 1,201 Get a Job Kits all while gaining valuable skills and work expereince — and that’s not all! Many of them have secured jobs and reached other big milestone goals. A huge congrats, ladies!
