Welcome, Session 90!

Earlier this month, we kicked off Session 90 of our Job-readiness and Empowerment Program with 21 women who are now courageously working towards their goals. It’s only week two and we are already blown away by the lively, bright, and supportive environment these women are creating. Together, they are rebuilding their futures and forming a sisterhood that will last a lifetime.

We Still Need Volunteer Support!

Giving with your time, talent, and energy truly makes an impact. Volunteer sign-ups for Session 90 is open, and we are still looking for volunteers! We could not do this work without you. Check out opportunities and sign up HERE. If you have any questions, please reach out at zoe@womens-empowerment.org

Meet Our Employment Specialist!

Terri White recently joined the WE team and has hit the ground running in her role as an Employment Specialist. She teaches many of our job-seeking skills classes and meets with students and graduates daily to support their employment goals.

When Terri isn’t working with the women, you can find her with community partners, working to create opportunities and develop pipelines to employment for the women we serve! The students absolutely adore Terri, and have shared their admiration and gratitude for her hard work, dedication, and willingness to help. Terri goes above and beyond to ensure that every individual feels empowered in their pursuit of a job or career that suits their goals, wants, and needs.

“Women’s Empowerment has given me the opportunity to contribute to this magical mission. Helping these women become self-sufficient allows me the unique privilege of witnessing them exceed even their own expectations.”
