The statistics surrounding women and children experiencing homelessness are alarming – Women’s Empowerment partners are making a difference! Partners make our work possible. From providing crucial opportunities for graduates, to promoting community awareness, WE partners are an integral part of the long term solution to homelessness.

HIRE A GRADUATE!

Each woman who completes the job readiness program carries great potential. Graduates have gone on to work in fields related to social service, healthcare, administration, retail, security, customer service, the California Legislature, and others.

By hiring a graduate of Women’s Empowerment:

  • Employer needs will be assessed and matched by an Employment Specialist
  • Referrals will be prescreened from a pool of qualified job-seekers
  • New hires will be provided with ongoing support as needed

The percentage of job placements among Women’s Empowerment Graduates has always been high, however, over the past few years, we have seen a large decline in the percentage of students and graduates who are finding and maintaining housing. Even having secured jobs, many women still face high barriers to housing.

WE are looking to partner with developers, landlords, and property managers to help break barriers and create housing opportunities for Women’s Empowerment graduates.
