Welcome, Session 94!
Last week, 26 women began our job readiness and empowerment program and have already started to thrive on their journey. One student expressed feeling supported and hopeful due to the cohort, saying
“I would already feel fulfilled even if the program ended after day one.”
We are thrilled to partner with these women as they bravely pursue stability, employment, housing, and unleash their inner power and confidence!
Session 94 is underway, and we are seeking volunteers to support our program and the women and children we serve. YOU can help empower and uplift!
Session 94 volunteer opportunities and a link to sign up are listed below.
If you haven’t volunteered with us, please sign up for a mandatory volunteer orientation. The next orientation is scheduled for February 7th, 2024.
We are grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you soon!

Meet WE’s New Social Worker!
We are thrilled to introduce Ronika R. Prakash, our newest social worker at WE! Ronika brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology), a Master of Arts in Counseling (with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy), and a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) since 2003. Her passion for empowering women to find their voices and live healthier, more independent lives makes her a perfect fit for our mission. We couldn’t be more excited to have Ronika on board!
We are extremely grateful to Denise King for her generous donation to the Child Development Center. Her contribution of cubbies, room dividers, nap mats, tricycles, and other items is truly appreciated. Thank you!
