Taking place on May 2nd, Big Day of Giving (BDOG) is an annual online giving movement that unites the region to help raise critical funds for organizations like Women’s Empowerment, that uplift and strengthen our community.

We know that women can be anything, but the barriers of homelessness and trauma can seem insurmountable to overcome alone. For 23 years, Women’s Empowerment has provided women experiencing homelessness with the support and education needed to regain confidence, rebuild their lives, and achieve their dreams. For Big Day of Giving on May 2nd, we need your powerful partnership. Homelessness in Sacramento has increased dramatically in recent years, and more women and children are counting on our transformational programs and services.

Empower change by Making a BDOG Gift!

There are many ways to give:

  1. Visit the WE Page on the BDOG website to donate! Early giving begins on April 18th.
  2. Write a check. You can make it out to Women’s Empowerment. Drop off or mail to 1590 North A Street, Sacramento CA 95811. Please add BDOG in the memo line!
  3. Make a direct online donation – Now through May 2nd, visit WE’s Donate Now page to make an online gift.
  4. Make your gift via Venmo @Wesac
  5. Make your gift via WE’s Paypal

Want to help make an impact? There are more ways than donating or fundraising for you to help empower women with us. Social media can be a great place to spread the word about Women’s Empowerments work and Big Day of Giving. The more people know about WE, the more impact we can make! Here are some tips:
Sign up for our newsletter and follow our socials. We can be found on Linked In, Facebook, & Instagram! 
It doesn’t stop there — like, comment, tag, & share our posts. Not only does this spread the word about this vital work to your friends, families, and coworkers, but it also increases our engagement, which helps us reach more if the community. 
Email & Text Messages are another great way to help spread the word about Women’s Empowerment. Personally, emailing, direct messaging, calling, or texting friends and family and asking them to check out Women’s Empowerment and consider getting involved makes all the difference!

FUNDRAISE

You can take your BDOG support further and help others make an impact! 

We have a goal of raising $120,000 to support women and children experiencing homelessness in breaking the cycle of poverty. But we can only do it with a whole community of support. Take your generosity a step further and enable your network to help make a difference by creating your own fundraiser for Women’s Empowerment. It only takes a few clicks!
