WE Have Launched The Resilience Fund!
The determination we continue to see from women and children experiencing homelessness is astounding! They don’t give up, and we won’t either.
Due to changes caused by the pandemic, we have lost nearly $450,000 of our funding so far in 2020. In response, and inspired by the women we serve, WE have launched the Women’s Empowerment Resilience Fund.
Women’s Empowerment has always pivoted our services – not our mission – based on meeting the most critical needs of the community we serve– and we do it quickly. Recently, in addition to our job readiness and paid job training programs, we have been working to keep women and their children from falling back into homelessness, as one third of our graduates have been laid off.
Today, we invite you to make a donation to the Resilience Fund.
By giving, you are:
Sustaining our work through vast unknowns
Continued programs and services are vital to keeping WE graduates and their children from falling back into homelessness as they face the pandemic and the associated economic crisis.
Standing against injustice
Women’s Empowerment serves women who are disproportionately affected by socio-economic and racial inequity.
Supporting women and children as they move from surviving to thriving
More women and children will rely on Women’s Empowerment as the homeless population is predicted to increase nationally by 45% according to a recent article in the Los Angeles Times.
