Mona, a first-generation daughter of Iranian immigrants, came to Sacramento over a decade ago and, with a passion for plants, began a small business. Now a flourishing enterprise, she has expanded to include skincare, jewelry, clothing, and special events. Mona shared her take on what it meant to be empowered: “It starts with looking within yourself and questioning who/what you are surrounding yourself with. Are you happy? Finding the power within translates to the empowerment on the outside.”
